Job Description: Automotive Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a talented and experienced Automotive Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As an Automotive Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating with various stakeholders, leading project teams, and representing the mechanical/hardware team in the development of reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for moderately complex automotive products. Your expertise in 3D CAD modeling and drawings, along with your knowledge of FMEA and 8D processes, will be essential to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, both locally and internationally, to ensure effective collaboration and seamless project execution.
- Lead a project team consisting of other mechanical hardware engineers and internal/outsourced development partners to drive the development of automotive solutions.
- Represent the mechanical/hardware team throughout all phases of larger and more complex development projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements.
- Utilize your experience to modify and create 3D CAD models and drawings, contributing to the design and development process.
- Demonstrate awareness of CAD 2D Drawing and 3D Models formats, leveraging your proficiency in these tools to enhance project outcomes.
- Employ your knowledge of FMEA and 8D processes to identify potential risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective problem-solving strategies.
- Liaise with OEM customers and Tier 1 internal teams, effectively presenting technical information and facilitating knowledge transfer.
- Exhibit flexibility in working hours to support global teams, recognizing the importance of collaboration across different time zones.
- Utilize your strong IT/PC skills to navigate and leverage relevant software and tools.
Candidates ideally will have the following skill set:
- Awareness of CAD 2D Drawing and 3D Models formats.
- Familiarity with FMEA and 8D processes.
- Ability to liaise with OEM customers and Tier 1 internal teams, effectively communicating technical information and facilitating knowledge transfer.

Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field).
- Typically, 4-6 years of experience in automotive mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in modifying and creating 3D CAD models and drawings.
- Proven expertise in project coordination, leading teams, and representing mechanical/hardware engineering throughout development projects.
