Job Summary:
As a CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop detailed and accurate 3D models and engineering drawings for various automotive components and systems. Working closely with our design and engineering teams, you will contribute to the creation of next-generation vehicles, helping to enhance performance, safety, and overall user experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and modify 3D models of automotive parts, subsystems, and complete assemblies using CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) while adhering to company design guidelines and industry standards.
2. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to understand project requirements, specifications, and design objectives.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and analyses to ensure that design concepts can be effectively translated into functional components.
4. Perform comprehensive simulations and validation tests to verify the structural integrity and performance of the designed components.
5. Participate in design reviews, providing valuable feedback and contributing ideas to enhance the quality and efficiency of the product development process.
6. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, prototyping, and testing, to ensure seamless integration of CAD models into the production process.
7. Maintain accurate documentation of design changes, version control, and project updates.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD software advancements and industry trends, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a CAD Engineer or similar role within the automotive industry.
3. Proficiency in using CAD software, such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
4. In-depth understanding of automotive design principles, manufacturing processes, and industry-specific regulations and standards.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
