As Global Diagnostic Engineer your responsibilities will include:
• Proactively, using acquired knowledge and experience as well as relevant tools and methods, develop diagnostic procedures for fixing vehicle and software issues.
• Validate and identify process improvements on current published procedures for diagnostic or software issues
• Lead work progress and development of procedures, standards and requirements for service
• Provide a level of strategic support and advise in complex customer cases using diagnostic specialised skills to interpret data
• Liaise with engineers to create technical fixes for vehicle concerns by being the single point of contact for support issues within the Technical Service function
• Assist the development and provide feedback on Part II specifications and FTAs (i.e. Attendance of PE workshops, supplier reviews, sign-offs events).
• Travel between customer sites and suppliers within the UK and Europe if required
• Work experience in automotive integration testing at System/Architecture Level
• Excellent knowledge of automotive CAN protocols Monitor traces (from the diagnostic machine) and Session files
• Work experience in Vector CANAlyzer and Vector CANoe
• Good knowledge of diagnostic protocol UDS ISO-14229
• Good debugging/troubleshooting and electronic skills

Candidates will be HND or degree qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an automotive development field. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who is self-motivated and able to work as part of an integrated team. They will be passionate, enthusiastic, confident and personable with the ability to deliver to high standard under critical time restraints.
