Main Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the Integration team
- Co-ordinate the team to ensure each engineer is aware of their project deliverables and motivate them to deliver quality results to tight deadlines
- Project responsibility for harnesses and sub-components.
- Deliver an accurate and robust design for allocated harness
- Working with the CAD Engineer to deliver the Electrical Enclosures
- Design using DFMEA principles to ensure robust design, maintaining specific harness DMFEA and Enclosures
- Manage and resolve engineering issues in a timely manner using our issue management system.
- Ensure accurate translation of design into 2D prints
- Take Responsibility to ensure harness design meets requirements and specifications
- Deliver a cost & weight efficient design
- Develop and maintain circuit diagrams and Harness drawings using Arcadia software
Requirements
- University degree in electrical, mechanical, or automotive engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience of working with, or design of, vehicle electrical systems
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic system function and diagnostics
- Understanding of EDS design and development process
- Electrical harness engineering background
- Application of electrical theory
- Experience of Arcadia ECAD tool (preferred)
- Understanding of ECAD tools such as Mentor CHS (Logical and XC)
- Microsoft office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Projects
- Effective time management
- Able to lead both from technical and line management perspective
- Self-sufficient and self-motivated
- Ability to work and communicate at all levels
- Fluent in English
- Right to work in the UK – Valid Passport
