Position Description:
As a Lighting Electronics Hardware Development Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the development of electrical and electronics components for Interior and Exterior Lighting products. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that lighting products meet and exceed all requirements to JLR standards, following established processes such as Device Transmittals, GRADE, and EMC for lighting components. In addition, you will provide essential support to quality-related projects and contribute to the overall body of knowledge within the lighting domain concerning electrical and electronics aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of electrical and electronics components for Interior and Exterior Lighting products.
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications to guide the development process.
- Work in a fast-paced environment to design and develop hardware electronics that meet customer requirements.
- Utilize your automotive electronics development experience to create block diagrams, detailed circuit schematics, generate Bill of Materials (BOM), and design PCB layouts.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.
- Uphold excellent communication, time management, and team working skills to achieve project milestones.
Skills Required:
- Automotive electronic hardware design and development expertise.
- Proficiency in the development of electronic circuits.
- Experience in developing PCB designs and layouts.
Experience Required:
- Proven ability to translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong background in designing and developing hardware electronics to deliver products that meet customer requirements.
- Automotive electronics development experience, including creating block diagrams, detailed circuit schematics, BOM generation, and PCB design and layouts.
- Exceptional communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
Experience Preferred:
- Prior experience in lighting electronics development at a Tier 1 supplier or other OEM is desirable.
- Familiarity with the Agile way of working is a plus, but not essential.
