Using advanced metallurgical and mechanical testing equipment such as optical microscopes, hardness testers, and radiographic analysis tools, you will assess components in line with engineering specifications and standards including IATF 16949 and ISO 14001. Your expertise in metallurgical knowledge of steel and aluminium, combined with your ability to interpret engineering drawings, will drive accurate testing and quality assurance processes.
We value skill in destructive testing techniques, visual weld inspections, ultrasonic testing, and radiography, alongside a solid understanding of health and safety protocols and lab practices like 5S and COSHH. Your computer literacy in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint will support detailed reporting. Previous experience with welding inspection, CT scans, ultrasonic equipment, or CSWIP qualifications are highly desirable.
