Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Process Simulation Lead Engineer with BiW (Body-in-White) manufacturing experience to join our Client’s team. As the Process Simulation Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing process simulation activities, utilising tools such as Robcad and/or Process Simulate. Your expertise in BiW manufacturing processes will be crucial in ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage process simulation activities for various projects, focusing on BiW manufacturing.
Utilise Robcad and/or Process Simulate tools to develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including layout design, cycle time analysis, and ergonomic assessments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and project managers, to ensure efficient and effective process implementation.
Conduct feasibility studies and perform simulations to validate and optimize manufacturing processes, identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing solutions.
Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in simulation technologies, and emerging best practices.
Communicate effectively with clients, presenting simulation results, recommendations, and project updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working with Robcad and/or Process Simulate tools in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on BiW processes.
Strong understanding of BiW manufacturing processes, including assembly line design, robotics integration, and process optimization.
Experience with JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) projects is preferred.
Proficient in utilising simulation tools to create layouts, perform cycle time analysis, and assess ergonomics.
Solid knowledge of manufacturing systems, automation, and robotics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex manufacturing scenarios.
Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
