Our client is looking for a candidate that will effectively assist in leading, managing and controlling single or multiple projects to both the customers and TLC’s expectations, meeting all goals of timing, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction. Responsibility for the early identification, communication of possible issues and weaknesses and recommend possible solutions to resolve them. The successful candidate will report into the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
• To assist in leading cross functional project teams, to deliver the objectives for new product introduction projects, ensuring use of best practice project management techniques.
• Assist in reporting project status, budget, and milestones to SMT & company directors
• Ensure that all projects are managed in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Clearly communicate issues to the project team and assist in planning resources accordingly.
• To develop and maintain a good working relationship with the TLC team, customer, and suppliers.
• To lead meetings and organise visits with TLC team, customers and suppliers as directed by the PM.
• Assist in control and delivery of budgets for prototypes, development, tooling, and production expenditure.
• Create and maintain timing plans, highlighting concern areas, as directed by the PM.
• Organise, chair and minute project meetings with the project team as appropriate as directed by the PM
• Assisting with the preparation of commercial aspects, especially engineering changes and traceability of these through the project
• Assist in delivering and managing customer expectations
• Assist in development and maintenance of technical specifications and documentation.
• Assisting in identifying business development opportunities and supporting quoting activities
Experience Required:
• Educated to HNC/HND/Degree in an engineering discipline or 5+ year’s experience in a relevant field.
• Exposure to operating in an ISO 9001:2015 & IATF 16949 environment and assisting audit activities for project responsible elements as directed by the PM.
• Experience/exposure to assisting delivering projects from initial concept product development through to production via APQP process and ability to lead DFMEA, PFMEA and PPAP activities.
• Exposure to mechanical, electronic, harness component design, assembly, and processes
• An understanding of the plastic injection molding process.
• Travel may be required on occasions to support customer and supplier meetings.
