The Quality Engineer will have proven automotive experience and a keen eye for detail. This key role involves working with the technical leads to ensure active projects developed are running on time and to budget. The successful candidate will be integral to developing processes and will report into the Engineering Manager. The candidate is required to have a minimum 5‐10 years working in industry at OEM or Tier 1 suppliers. Ideally in LED LIGHTING.

Key Responsibilities
• Report to the senior management team on all aspects of quality engineering.
• Ownership of the QMS ISO9001 system documentation and processes for the business. Including BSi audits.
• Liaison with customers to deliver quality requirements in a timely manner.
• Ownership of inspection of materials, parts/assemblies, processes,
• and equipment, from a functional, aesthetic and dimensional perspective to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Ownership of DVP Testing requirements for projects, including liaising with the customer and service providers, creation of timing plans and sample requirement matrices.
• Lead and develop all aspects of internal and external quality inspection process, including creation of Part Quality Standards (PQS) documents and collation/submission of IMDS information.
• Support in the delivery of PPAP to customers specifications.
• Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with regulations.
• Maintain internal measurement equipment, including calibration..
• Actively assist in the generation of DFMEA & PFMEA documentation
• Carry out internal and external audits.Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements in accordance with industry recognized

• Total control of supplier quality assurance.
• Attend internal meetings and customer meetings to support their requirements.
• Manage the cost of quality and report internally.
• Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
• Management of conformity of production quality systems, data accumulation, analysis and reporting for product performance monitoring.
Required:
• HNC/HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Competent user of MS office packages, use of Minitab software preferred.
• Demonstrated experience of working in and automotive quality role.
• Success in developing QMS processes.
• Full understanding of injection mold process.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Willingness to travel across the UK and abroad.
• Experience working closely with internal and external customers.
• Be self‐motivated.
