Test Rig Design Engineer
Join our dedicated Facility & Technology Development team and contribute to JLR’s innovative vehicle testing capabilities. We are seeking a passionate test rig design engineer with expertise in CATIA V6 or 3DX to help design bespoke test rigs and fixtures for a variety of vehicle testing needs, from component to full vehicle systems.
This role involves creating detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, managing workflow, and validating designs through FEA, CAE, hand calculations, and multibody simulations. You will liaise with workshop teams, interpret testing requirements, and produce technical reports to support validation processes.
Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of vehicle architecture, mechanical systems, and testing methodologies. Your CAD expertise, combined with your ability to problem-solve and manage priorities, will ensure seamless delivery of high-quality rigs that support vehicle durability, safety, and structural testing.
